Wedding in Greece
Christie and Chris chose an island most people cannot place on a map. Not Santorini, not Mykonos. Ikaria sits in the eastern Aegean, closer to the Turkish coast than to the Cyclades, and it has never learned to perform for anyone.
The island is one of five Blue Zones in the world. Roughly one in three people here lives past ninety. Its village feasts run from May to October and the dancing at them does not stop until dawn, which is not a figure of speech but a schedule. The wine is Pramnian, made from sun dried grapes and mentioned by Homer. This is a place that has been holding celebrations for about three thousand years and has no intention of hurrying.
The ceremony was by the sea, at a small blue domed chapel above the rocks, and it ended in a storm of confetti that took a while to settle. Dinner came later, by candlelight on the cliffs, tables set in the open with the water going dark below them. The guests had dressed as though the whole thing were being shot for a magazine, which, as it turned out, it was.
What the night did was borrow from the island. Ikarians know how to keep a party going longer than anyone in Greece, and this one behaved accordingly: the saxophone, the feathers, the fans, the floor still full when the sky started to change colour. A wedding here does not really end. It just runs out of darkness.

We had never worked with a professional photographer before, so when we hired Oleg for our wedding in France, we didn't really know what to expect. Looking back, we couldn't have wished for a better experience. On the day itself, he somehow managed to be everywhere without ever making us feel like we were constantly being photographed. Candid moments, editorial portraits, film photography, drone shots, our guests, all the little details, and an amazing short wedding video as a bonus. We never had to worry about whether an important moment was being captured. Neither of us is confident in front of a camera, but he showed us how to stand, where to look and where the best light was. It never felt awkward or staged. Our full gallery arrived less than a month after the wedding. Our planner, who has been in the industry for around 20 years, said he had rarely seen a photographer work as hard. We couldn't recommend Oleg more highly.
