The point of all the preparation is that you never have to think about it. Before the wedding I go through the timeline with you, walk the venue or study it properly if I cannot get there early, and speak to your planner so that nobody is guessing on the day. Light changes on a schedule, and knowing it in advance is the difference between a portrait made at the right hour and one squeezed in when there is a gap. By the time the day arrives, my part of it is already decided. Yours is to be at your own wedding.

I arrive 30minutes before the start, walk the location, find the places worth using later and photograph the details while everything is still untouched. From there I move between directing and staying out of the way, depending on what the hour needs. You will be guided when guiding helps, and left alone when it does not.

This is the part you do not see. Venue research, light timings, a run through your schedule with notes where I think it will not survive contact with reality, and a set of references built for your place rather than pulled from a folder. Where there is a planner, I work alongside them from here on.

Around 30 minutes, usually on Zoom. You tell me about the wedding and how you picture it, and I explain how I work. Then we go through the shape of the day together, from the morning through to the reception, so you can see where the photography sits inside it. If it feels right afterwards, I send the agreement, and the date is held with a signed contract and a 25% retainer.

I am based in Lisbon, Portugal, and photograph weddings across Europe. Most of my season runs between Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland, and I travel further when a couple asks.
Both, at every wedding. Digital covers the full day, and 35mm film runs through it and gives the gallery its atmosphere. You receive one gallery containing both.
Most couples book me between one year and eighteen months before the wedding. Peak dates from May to September in Portugal, Italy and France go first, often earlier still. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway, because gaps do come up.
I photograph every wedding myself, and I also work with a small team of photographers who have been with me for years. On larger celebrations one of them works alongside me.
No. Travel and accommodation anywhere in Europe are included in my fee, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay. For weddings outside Europe, travel is added at cost and agreed in writing before you sign anything.
Yes. Twelve years and three hundred weddings across Europe mean I know the planners, florists, videographers and venues worth the money in most of the places couples ask me about. Tell me where you are marrying and I will send you a short list of people I have actually worked with, not names I have only heard.
Between 500 and 900 edited photographs, depending on the package and the number of hours covered. Every one of them is finished and delivered at full resolution, with no watermarks.

We had never worked with a professional photographer before, so when we hired Oleg for our wedding in France, we didn't really know what to expect. Candid moments, editorial portraits, film photography, drone shots, our guests, all the little details, and an amazing short wedding video as a bonus.
